One of our recent projects included the installation of an electric vehicle super charging station for a very well known vehicle manufacturer. This project included intercepting the primary high voltage electrical power coming in from under the street and rerouting it to a new location.
2 - 1500 kVA, 480V transformers were relocated along with all 8 of the secondary feeders. A new 480/277V, 1500 kVA transformer was installed along with a 2000 amp 120/208 section of switchgear. This powered up a 2000 amp load center, which in turn powered up 250 amp super chargers. The superchargers then powered up 20 electric vehicle charging stations. 6 runs of 3" GALVANIZED RIGID CONDUIT were run simultaneously to accomplish this. The job went off without a hitch and is now up and running at one of America's premium malls in Southern California.
We are currently working on various other electric vehicle charging stations throughout California that will soon be open for business!
